The Bambu Lab A1 3D Printer Global Version is a high-speed, fully automatic FDM 3D printer designed for easy and reliable printing. It offers a 256 × 256 × 256mm build volume, up to 500mm/s toolhead speed, automatic calibration, active flow-rate compensation, vibration compensation and a quick-swap nozzle system.

The standard A1 is a single-filament printer. For multi-color printing, it can be paired with one AMS Lite, allowing up to 4-color printing.

Supported Filaments

The A1 is particularly optimized for:

• PLA
• PETG
• TPU
• PVA

Bambu Lab lists ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET and fiber-reinforced materials as not recommended on the open-frame A1 because the printer does not have a heated enclosure.

For carbon-fiber or glass-fiber filaments, Bambu Lab recommends using an appropriate hardened-steel nozzle because the standard stainless-steel nozzle can wear more quickly.

Automatic Calibration

One of the A1's major advantages is its full-auto calibration system. The printer automatically handles important calibration tasks, reducing the amount of manual setup required before printing. Bambu Lab also includes active flow-rate compensation and automatic bed leveling.

This makes the A1 particularly suitable for beginners as well as users who want a more automated printing workflow.

Multi-Color Printing

The A1 Combo includes the AMS Lite system. The standard A1 does not include AMS Lite.

With one AMS Lite, the A1 can print with up to 4 colors/materials. Bambu Lab specifically states that the A1 supports only one AMS Lite unit.

Smart Monitoring

The A1 includes a built-in monitoring camera capable of up to 1080p at a low frame rate. It supports timelapse recording and provides print-status monitoring.
